Joomla Tagbot is a mambot/plugin that gives visitors to your site the ability to bookmark any article (content item) in one of the many Bookmark or Tagging sites such as Furl.net, Spurl.net, Del.icio.us etc. If the article is bookmarked as a public bookmark on the bookmark site, then there is a 'better' chance that your article will be sent to sites that aggregate bookmarks such as Technorati, Blog listing sites, search engines, etc. If it is bookmarked private, it still serves as a point of access for the user to your website. Tagging is a type of rating, categorizing, feature for websites that is invisible to the user, thus its success and popularity. |
