AMFPHP is a way to provide Flash/Flex remoting services on an Apache/PHP platform instead of requiring your server to be a Cold Fusion server. J-AMFPHP add AMFPHP as a plugin for Joomla, exposing the Joomla API to AMFPHP services. This has the benefit of using all the Joommla core API for managing the database, connecting with other components and modules, etc, without rewriting everything a second time. This component is for developers only! It is intended to make it easier for developers to build front-end Flash modules and components driven by Joomla content. This is not meant for end-users or general site administrators who are not familiar with developing their own modules and plugins. Make sure to install the additional Discovery Service plugin if you intend to use the AMFPHP browser.
