uddeIM is a component and a corresponding module that allows users of Mambo Community Builder sites to send private messages to each other.

It was developed for community sites where sending messages is one of the core features. It is very simple for the user and extremely easy to use.

- All usernames linked to corresponding CB profile
- When opening a message, the CB profile thumbnail
pic of the user is being displayed
- Messages sorted in inbox, outbox and trashcan
- uddeIM doesn't allow sending messages to
inexisting usernames
- Message can be recalled after they've been sent
(as long as they have not been read)
- Messages can be restored from trashcan
- Previous message appended as quote
- Many different date/time display formats to
choose from, and they are in your local
language (if language file exists)
- uddeIM uses only Mambo styles and should
seamlessly integrate with any template
- One click usability: seeing that a new message
arrived, opening it and getting to the
reply form requires only one click in total.
- Messages automatically deleted according to
admin settings
- Backend administration for deletions, icons,
date/time display format
- Different languages can be used (and additional
languages can be installed)
