Admin your content + banners + news on all your sub sites from ONE place!! THIS COMPONENT IS BIG!!!! Multisites Control for Joomla Component for copying selected database tables or records and content from a Main site to selected sub sites incl. support of FTP. The file and folder permissions are copied as well. 1. About Multisites Control This component is an admin interface for Content, Banners and News management from the main site to child sites. 2. Potentialities More particularly this component gives opportunity to perform such actions as copying content from one site to any others, one-click publishing, unpublishing and deletion of content from many sites. 3. Managing child sites Having installed that component and forum you should go to List sites adjustment (Components/Multisites Control/List sites) where you can add child sites for content management, delete child sites, test Database and FTP connections to child sites. First of all you should add at least one child site. Click on New button. New site form appears. Fill data in form fields according to your site settings: Site Name - Name of the site which will be displayed in sites list Site Url - URL from which site is available Database settings: Database Host Database User Database User Password Database Name Table prefix - prefix of all tables used by Joomla. ( Usually - jos_ ) FTP connection settings FTP host FTP login FTP password FTP documentroot - a relative path to site location on FTP server from you home directory After filling all data, click on Save button. New site should appears in sites list. You can check correctness of Database and FTP settings by marking checkbox and clicking on Test DB or Test FTP buttons. To delete sites from list - select them via checkboxes and click on Delete button. 4. Configuration In configuration (Components/Multisites Control/config) you can change following options: News section Id. This parameter identifies the section Id for news management on child sites. Autopublish. If this option is turned on - all copied content becomes published automatically. If it is turned off - you should publish manually all new content. 5. Content, Banners and News management. In this sections you can copy content to other child sites, publish, unpublish and delete multiply content items. To copy some content items, mark them via checkboxes and click on Copy button. New form appears in which you should select destination site and section where to copy content. When new content is copied, its author will be the same as defined in Created By drop-down. After you select via checkboxes destination sites and sections where to copy - click on Apply button. All content will be copied and you will be returned to the list of all content. Here you can ensure that all content was copied successfully.
