QTube is a simple plugin designed to perform a very simple task: embedding YouTube hosted videos in a Joomla! content item. I'm aware that there are plugins that allow you to include videos from many other sources, but when all the videos you need are hosted at YouTube you can take advantage of QTube's small footprint. The plugin supports some parameters to allow you to configure the look and feel of the video container object. Default values for all these parameters can be set from plugin administration area. Let's say you want the same width and height for all the videos on your site; specify these parameters once and for all in the plugin backend and you won't need to include them in any plugin command string. Finally the pages containing your videos can be valid XHTML Transitional because the HTML code generated by QTube doesn't contain the tag unlike the code provided at YouTube site (at least the last time I checked).

mod_openid allows you to place an attractive openID login box for your Joomla installation on your site. The form is completely flexible and can be modified to look the way you want it to. The beauty of using openID is it is nice and easy for visitors to register for your site in order to participate, and it makes it easy for them to login again too. Perfect for blogs, forums, or social websites! This module was built on the Joomla 1.5.3 release, and has not been tested on older versions. If you have tested it on an older version I would love to hear your feedback on it.
* 9 May 2008 - I have just corrected the install xml file to correctly load the required files at installation. There is also a reported glitch with IE7 and the background image in the textfield which I will be fixing soon.
